Executive Committee Meetings

These take place two or three times a year and are open to all members, prospective members and associated organisations.

On 15th Nov 2011 a meeting was held on the theme 'Farm Business Success and the South Downs National Park', at Field Farm Barn in Colemore, Hampshire.

James Seymour of Natural England spoke on CAP and the future; Tony Whitbread, Chairman of the South Downs Network and CEO of the Sussex Wildlife Trust, spoke on approaches to recognising ecosystem services provided by farmers; Andrew Lee, Strategy Director of the Park Authority, spoke on partnership working opportunities and Nigel James (West Sussex Area Manager/NIA Project Lead) and Emily Brennan (Biodiversity Strategy Lead) spoke about the Nature Improvement Area project.

Details and minutes of EC meetings can be obtained from the Administrator. Members not on EC are welcome to attend, subject to at least 3 days notice to the Administrator so that we can provide for the right numbers.
